The Gull is 11ft long. The modern dinghies have built-in buoyancy and are made of fibreglass. The Gull is light to handle and easy to rig and launch.
She can be happily sailed as a single-handeer or with two people. She is ideal for teaching people to sail and having some fun on the water. From experience, I can recommend her for the oder generation as well because she is light to handle, fairly comfortable and feels more roomy than many other dinghies of a similar size.
Her buoyancy means she is easy to right in the event of a capsize. Water-tight storage provides some space for valuables and a few tinnies. The boat has the option of a spinnaker and comes with a roller reefing system on the jib. If you decide to fit an outboard bracket you will find she motors very well.
The Gull is primarily a recreational boat although they are raced at club and national level. The mast is light and easy to lower and raise. The sheets and halyards are well laid out and easy to use. The Gull is a very easy boat to sail and ideal for cruising about in the harbour.
